Online Stock Trades
$29.95 per transaction up to 1,000 shares; add $.03 per share thereafter.
Online Penny Stocks Commission
Penny Stocks are defined as stocks trading at less than $1.00.
Three rules apply:
- $15 per trade plus $.03 per share
- OR -
10% of principal, with overriding minimum of $29.95. - On a sell, the maximum of 85% of principal (overrides $29.95 minimum).
- If quantity is equal to or less than 1,000 shares then the maximum commission is $29.95 for penny stocks.
Online Options Trades
$19.95 plus $2.50 per contract.
$35 overriding minimum.
Online No-Load Mutual Fund Trades
No transaction fee funds: $0.
Transaction fee funds: $75.
Although H&R Block Financial Advisors does not charge a transaction fee on certain participating no-load funds, we receive remuneration from these fund companies. In addition, a $75 short-term redemption fee will be charged on no-load no transaction fee funds purchased and sold within 180 days.
