Guarantees
With H&R Block Best of Both you can have a tax professional review, correct any issues, sign, and file your return as the tax preparer of record.
When an H&R Block tax professional signs your tax return, you receive these guarantees.
View GuaranteesThe H&R Block Guarantee
The H&R Block Guarantee is included with every tax return we prepare. If H&R Block makes an error on your tax return, we'll pay resulting penalties and interest. If you are audited, we'll explain your IRS tax audit notice and the documentation you should provide to the auditor.
Maximum Refund Guarantee
We promise you the biggest tax refund you're entitled to or your tax preparation is free.
If you find another online tax preparation method that results in a larger refund (or smaller liability) than that calculated by the H&R Block At Home online tax program, we will refund the fees you paid us to use our online tax program to prepare that return. To qualify, the larger refund or smaller tax liability must not be due to differences in data supplied by you or positions taken on your return that are contrary to law.
Peace of Mind® Extended Service Plan
For just $35, you can purchase the Peace of Mind Extended Service Plan and gain extra confidence. If you owe additional taxes due to our error in the preparation of your return, we'll pay those additional taxes up to a maximum of $5,500.
Self-Filing
You may choose to file your Best of Both tax return yourself, without the benefit of a professional review. If you choose to file your tax return and skip the tax professional review, the above guarantees are replaced with the H&R Block At Home Guarantees and your return becomes ineligible for the Peace of Mind® Extended Service plan.
