If the federal income tax withheld field on my W-2 is blank, what do I enter?
To find out if your Form W-2 lists the correct amount of withholding:
- Contact your employer.
- Check your pay stubs.
If the withholding is correct, enter 0 for federal taxes withheld for that Form W-2.
If the withholding reported on your Form W-2 is incorrect, ask your employer to issue you a corrected Form W-2.
