How do I import my deductions from H&R Block DeductionPro^® into H&R Block At Home?
To easily import your money and item donations, and out-of-pocket expense entries from DeductionPro complete the following steps:
- In DeductionPro, click the Review & Finish tab to display the Prepare for H&R Block Tax Software Import screen, and then click Save for Import.
- Make sure that you have entered an address for each charity listed, and then click Next to view the H&R Block Tax Software Import Next Steps screen
- Open H&R Block At Home and start creating your return.
- When you get to the Charitable Donations section under Deductions, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the import process.
Do I need to purchase a new version of DeductionPro each year?
Each edition's valuation database, mileage rate, and tax brackets are specific to the tax year for which the edition was designed. Although each edition will allow you to make entries for the next tax year these are for planning purposes only. You may also import these entries into the following year's DeductionPro edition to avoid entering the same data more than once.
