Download and Install Updates - Windows Operating System

The H&R Block At Home^™ federal software update will be available on Jan. 12, 2012.

1. Tell us which version of the H&R Block At Home^™ Federal software you're using; then click Download Update.
   
   

   Download Update

   - Select Your Product Version - Basic + Efile Basic + Efile + State Deluxe + Efile Deluxe + Efile + State Premium + Efile + State

   
   Note: Be sure to select the correct version, otherwise the software will not update properly. To determine which version of H&R Block At Home you have, follow these steps:
   
   • Open the software
   • From the Help menu, select About H&R Block
   • The software version is displayed to the right of the H&R Block At Home icon
   
   
   
   
   
2. When prompted, save the update file to a known location, such as your desktop. The file will be named in a format similar H&R Block At Home_Premium_2012_Update_B.exe, depending on your product version.
3. Close H&R Block At Home, if it's open.
4. Double-click the update file on your desktop (or other location where you saved it).
5. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
