How Would I Have Applied for the Emerald AdvanceTM line of credit?
The Emerald Advance line of credit was available nationwide beginning November 19, 2018, through January 11, 2019. You could have made an appointment or walk in to your local participating H&R Block office to apply.
What Did I Need to Bring to My Emerald AdvanceTM Appointment?
To get you started on your application, you would not have needed to provide your W-2. You should have, however, brought the following for us to process your application.
- A current earnings statement (such as a pay statement)
- An unexpired, government-issued photo ID (a valid driver’s license)

How Soon Could I Have I Known My Credit Limit?
At your Emerald AdvanceTM appointment, you would have completed your application and submitted it to the Bank. If your application was approved, you would have known the credit limit before you left the office.
Emerald Advance draws are loaded to the Card Account associated with an H&R Block Emerald Prepaid Mastercard® (or to the Card Account associated with your existing Emerald Card® if you have one).Disclaimer number110.
