End-of-season H&R Block tax data and TCJA impact

H&R Block has updated its tax reform research based on end-of-season data as of April 30, 2019. Tax refunds for H&R Block clients were up 1.4% under the first year of tax reform and the new withholding tables, while overall tax liability was down 5.6%. This data aligns with reports from the Internal Revenue Service and should be used as an update to the mid-season data the company published April 11, 2019.
