Confirming You’re Using H&R Block’s Free File Version

H&R Block offers many options for filing your taxes online, including our H&R Block free version.

Depending on your tax situation, you might be eligible to take advantage of H&R Block’s option to file for free. There’s a simple way to check to make sure you’re using the H&R Block free version — the words “Free File” will appear next to the H&R Block logo at the top of every screen.

If you started with the free version of H&R Block Online and later provided information that indicates your filing might be more complex — like if you need additional forms — the program should alert you to that change. If that’s the case, you might no longer qualify for H&R Block’s Free File edition.
