New partnership to create impact on individual communities nationwide<\/h2>\n

Habitat for Humanity International and H&R Block announced today a new partnership aimed at improving quality of life for communities nationwide through collaboration and dialogue. The partnership will bring together local residents with Habitat for Humanity affiliates and H&R Block\u2019s 10,000 offices and 70,000 associates to partner with one another and improve the quality of life in neighborhoods across the United States.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe look forward to partnering with Habitat for Humanity to improve connections within communities nationwide,\u201d said Tiffany Monroe, chief people officer at H&R Block. \u201cWhen we improve the spaces in neighborhoods where neighbors can convene, we\u2019re contributing to the revitalization and improved quality of life for people everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

H&R Block is making a significant financial commitment in 2020 that will fund a variety of local grants including efforts within Habitat for Humanity\u2019s Neighborhood Revitalization<\/a> focus. The investment and involvement of H&R Block associates will result in a holistic approach based on the aspirations of the community and bring to life Habitat\u2019s Quality of Life Framework<\/a> in a number of communities nationwide.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s partnership with Habitat for Humanity is part of its new community impact platform, Make Every Block Better<\/a>, which launched in December 2019. Through this effort, H&R Block is focused on reducing isolationism in communities across the United States by fostering more conversations between neighbors and improving the places and spaces where neighbors convene. Other national partners include the Kauffman Foundation and the social hub, Nextdoor.<\/p>\n
