The last six to eight weeks have brought out many emotions in all of us \u2013 fear, frustration, confusion and sadness just to name a few I know I’ve experienced. But there have also been many bright spots and silver linings \u2013 times that have caused me to feel humble, proud and certainly part of something bigger. The way essential workers have stayed committed to serving their customers. Cities lighting up blue to honor healthcare workers and first responders. People around the world uniting in song from their windows. And even the simple benefits of having more time to do puzzles and eating dinner together as a family.<\/p>\n

With so many extraordinary people it’s hard to single out one group, but the heroics from our healthcare workers, police, firefighters and emergency medical technicians have been truly remarkable.<\/p>\n

At H&R Block we have heard from many clients, friends and family in these lines of work who still need to get their taxes done. We don\u2019t have medical expertise, but we definitely have tax expertise, so today I announced that H&R Block will provide free federal and state tax filing services to all police, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and healthcare workers in the United States through our Tax Pro Go service which provides expert tax preparation without an office visit.<\/p>\n

To make this as easy as possible, beginning Friday May 1, frontline workers can simply visit hrblock.com\/frontline<\/a> to get started. They\u2019ll upload their documents digitally \u2013 it can even be done by taking photos with a phone \u2013 and get matched with one of our tax pros who will do all the work. When the return is completed and approved, H&R Block will file it and be available should any questions arise. No payment and no office visit. It\u2019s one small way we can help those who are helping others.<\/p>\n
