Three associates share what it\u2019s like working at H&R Block<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When asked to describe the culture at H&R Block, Director of Global Consumer Tax<\/strong> James Otis Dobbins <\/strong>said, \u201cH&R Block wants to hire the right person for the job and then empower and equip them to perform their job. HRB strives to stack the deck, both out in the field and within corporate, with people who believe and exude our company’s behaviors with the ultimate goal in mind \u2013 to inspire help and provide confidence in our clients and communities everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have worked for several organizations throughout my career and this is the only one where I can envision retiring at,\u201d said Dobbins. \u201cI can\u2019t stress enough how important it is for me to work for a company that empowers me to make important day-to-day strategic decisions within my realm of responsibility. Because of this, I know that I truly make a difference each and every day for the organization.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manager of People & Culture<\/strong> Nicole Walker <\/strong>said her favorite thing about H&R Block is the people. When asked if H&R Block is making strides to be a more inclusive workplace, Walker said, \u201cAbsolutely. During the past few years there has been such an increased conscious effort from senior leaders to promote differences and an inclusive environment from observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day to the introduction of the Belongings Council and more. The effort for inclusion in our workspace has become an intricate part of our success moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBlock has always been a people company,\u201d said Senior Project Manager of Talent Experience Danielle Hilton<\/strong>. <\/strong>\u201cWe exist to provide help \u2013 and that translates to our associates. In the past several years, we\u2019ve been hyper-focused on the experience of our associates. We\u2019ve created Belonging Groups that provide communities, support, and resources. We\u2019ve taken a close look at total rewards and rolled out new benefits for parents and caregivers, support for neurodiverse individuals, enhanced mental health resources, and more.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
