With concerns of identity theft and fraud on the rise, IRS direct deposit means you don\u2019t have to worry about mail theft, which could put your check and your personal information at risk.<\/li><li>Direct deposit can also help you manage your finances and save for the future. Because the IRS lets you split your refund across two or three accounts, you can take one step out of the process of investing. You\u2019ll need to provide your bank or financial intuition\u2019s routing number and your account number.&nbsp; These numbers can be found at the bottom of your check or deposit slip. The routing number is the first series of numbers listed and is nine-digits in length.
