Does this sound like your situation? Don\u2019t worry \u2013 we\u2019re here to help. We\u2019ll walk you through a few extra steps, so you can file a full return now.<\/p>\n<h2>Here\u2019s what to do if your e-file return was rejected by the IRS<\/h2>\n<p>If you used the IRS non-filer tool or filed a simple $1 tax return to receive a stimulus payment, and have since determined that you do need to file a 2019 return, you\u2019ll need to follow these steps to get the correct information to the IRS.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you used the IRS non-filer tool or filed a return with $0 or $1 of income, then you need to file a new tax return by U.S. mail instead of electronically with \u201cAmended EIP Return\u201d written or printed at the top.
