If you\u2019re filing your return with H&R Block Online and having problems with e-file, we can help you with what to do if your e-file is rejected. In most cases, you can fix the issues using the steps below and then e-file your return again.<\/p>\n

  1. Choose Overview\u00a0<\/strong>on the top navigation bar.<\/li>\n
  2. Choose from two options: Next\u00a0<\/strong>Steps\u00a0<\/strong>or Check Status<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Follow the steps until you reach the Review the Rejection Messages <\/strong>screen.\u00a0If you don\u2019t see this screen, you\u2019ll need to print and mail your return.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Continuing to Have <\/span>E-File Problems <\/span>When Filing With <\/span>H&R Block Online<\/span>? Print Your Return Instead<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

    To print and mail your return:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Keep choosing Next\u00a0<\/strong>and follow the onscreen instructions.<\/li>\n
    2. Review the rejection messages for the error.<\/li>\n
    3. Choose the Fix Errors\u00a0<\/strong>button to go to the section with issues.<\/li>\n
    4. Fix each issue and choose Continue to File<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    5. Follow the steps to file your return again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      If you follow the steps and your e-file is rejected again, you should pay the tax you owe by check.<\/p>\n
