We\u2019ll have you back in the tax-filing business by the end of this page (or sooner).<\/p>\n<p>Just looking for the login link? Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrblock.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hrblock.com<\/a> and use the person icon in the upper right-hand corner to sign in or create a new account.<\/p>\n<p>You can also bookmark the link at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrblock.com\/login\/\">www.hrblock.com\/login\/<\/a>, so you can access it again easily.<\/p>\n<h2>Quick Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n<p>Let\u2019s double-check a few things before we go further:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive, so \u201cjsmith\u201d is different from \u201cJSMITH.\u201d Check your caps lock.<\/li>\n<li>If you can\u2019t remember your password, here\u2019s what we\u2019re looking for:\n<ul>\n<li>8-30 characters<\/li>\n<li>One uppercase letter<\/li>\n<li>One lowercase letter<\/li>\n<li>One number<\/li>\n<li>One special character (Ex: $, #, %, or !)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If none of that helped, you\u2019ve probably forgotten either your username or password. We don\u2019t blame you &#8212; we have a hunch it\u2019s been at least a year since you\u2019ve used it.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Forgot Username\/Password?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re not on the <strong>Sign in<\/strong> screen yet, go to hrblock.com, use the <strong>Profile<\/strong>\u00a0icon in the upper right-hand corner of this screen, and choose <strong>Sign in to my account.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From the <strong>Sign in<\/strong> screen:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click on <strong>Forgot username\/password?<\/strong> under the <strong>Password<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Enter your email, mobile number, or username. You\u2019ll have three tries to enter the info for your account. (Go ahead and use up the three if you can\u2019t remember the right one.)\n<ul>\n<li>If we couldn\u2019t find your account after three tries, fill out the account lookup screen, hit <strong>Next<\/strong>, and you should be back on track.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll get a security code sent to the email or phone number you gave (to verify it\u2019s really you).<\/li>\n<li>Enter that code into the <strong>Security code<\/strong> field you see on your screen and hit <strong>Next<\/strong>. (If you don\u2019t have access to that email or phone anymore, click <strong>Try something else<\/strong> and follow those steps.)<\/li>\n<li>Now, you should see a screen with the account we found for you. If there\u2019s more than one, choose the one with the most recent <strong>Last Sign In<\/strong> date and click <strong>Reset Password<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>If you had to use <strong>Try something else<\/strong> in this process, you should go directly to <strong>Account Settings <\/strong>(once you\u2019re signed in) and update your contact info so you can get back in next time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-still-need-help\">Still need help?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If none of that helped, you can create a new account. You\u2019ll just want to have a copy of your return from last year to make things easier this year. If you need a copy of your return from last year, you can request a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/individuals\/get-transcript\">transcript from the IRS<\/a>&nbsp;instead.
