If you\u2019re using\u00a0Tax Pro Review\u00a0to file your taxes, your tax pro will need copies of all documents showing your federal withholdings. This includes Forms W-2<\/a> and 1099<\/a>, and any other relevant documents. Digital copies are required for e-filing, but sending them to your tax pro also ensures that accurate information is being used.<\/p>\n

How to Send Documents to Your Tax Professional<\/b><\/h2>\n

There are a couple of ways to electronically send your tax documents to your tax professional. You can:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Upload the PDFs or Word documents.<\/li>\n
  • Take pictures of the documents and upload them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    If you don\u2019t have all of your documents available at the start of your tax prep, you can also send them later via the Message Center.<\/p>\n

    If you can\u2019t get electronic copies or take pictures, you can also fax or mail the documents to your tax professional. Check with your tax pro for more information.<\/p>\n

    Acceptable File Formats for Your Tax Documents<\/b><\/h3>\n

    You probably have your tax documents in Word or PDF format. However, we accept a wide range of document types.<\/p>\n

    You can upload documents in any of these formats:<\/p>\n

    • .xlsx<\/li>\n
    • .csv<\/li>\n
    • .txt<\/li>\n

    • .png<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
