If H&R Block Tax Software<\/a> will not update on your Mac computer, there are a couple of options you can try to solve the problem.<\/p>\n

First, you can try running a Disk Utility. To open the Disk Utility:<\/p>\n

  1. Click the Macintosh HD\u00a0<\/strong>icon on the desktop.<\/li>\n
  2. Click Applications\u00a0<\/strong>on the left side of the screen.<\/li>\n
  3. Click Utilities<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Click Disk Utility<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. Choose the Macintosh HD and click Verify Disk Permissions<\/strong>. (This could take a few minutes.) On Mac OS 10.13 and 10.14, click the First Aid<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  6. When the scan is complete, you can review any of the permissions issues it found in the window in the middle of the Disk Utility window. To repair these issues, click the Repair Disk Permissions<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  7. Close the Disk Utility.<\/li>\n
  8. Try updating the H&R Block Tax Software again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If H&R Block Tax Software still will not update on your Mac after following these steps, then your antivirus or firewall software might be preventing the updates from installing. Disable any antivirus or firewall software and try updating again.<\/p>\n

    For a federal update:<\/p>\n

    1. Under the Federal Updates\u00a0<\/strong>section, click Apple Program Updates<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. From the drop-down list, choose the product version, then click Download Update<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
