Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming.
Note:
Florida taxes intangible personal property (years prior to 2006).
New Hampshire taxes interest and dividend income, and income from an unincorporated business, rental or farm activity.
Tennessee taxes interest and dividend income only.
- How do I purchase a state software program?
Stand alone state programs are available as downloads only. Basic, Deluxe, Premium and Premium & Business can be purchased with one state program. If you need to purchase a state or need to purchase an additional state, you can purchase directly through the "State" tab of the H&R Block At Home™ program or through this Web site.
- Can I e-file my state tax return?
All H&R Block At Home™ State programs allow e-filing for an additional charge. H&R Block At Home™ cannot e-file for states without an income tax.
- How do I file a non-resident or part-year resident state tax return using H&R Block At Home™?
H&R Block At Home™ supports e-filing part-year and nonresident returns for California, Georgia, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey and New York and North Carolina, part-year and nonresident returns as well as part-year Maryland returns. All other state part-year and nonresident returns must be filed on paper (a paper return must be printed out and mailed in).
If you plan to e-file your federal tax return and do not have a state tax return with full-year residency, you will need to choose to e-file your federal tax return separately under "Filing Options" within the program.
- How do I file more than 1 state tax return using H&R Block At Home™?
When filing multiple state tax returns for the same taxpayer, up to 3 state tax returns may be e-filed. Any additional state returns required must be filed on paper (a paper return must be printed out and mailed in).
