What Are the IRS Electronic Signature Requirements?

An IRS electronic signature, or e-signature, is used in place of your physical signature when you file your taxes online using the H&R Block software. To use this signature method, we’ll verify any personal info needed for IRS’s electronic signature requirements.

Do I Need to Remember My IRS Electronic Signature Number?

When you get to the end of your return and pay for your tax prep, we’ll display your IRS electronic signature number. You won’t be required to remember the number associated with your e-signature, since you’ll need to create a new e-signature each time you file your return online.
