Form 1098-T for college students
Form 1098-T, also known as the college tax form or tuition tax form, shows what you’ve spent on qualified expenses for the tax year like tuition, fees, and course materials required to be enrolled. Your school will send you Form 1098-T by the end of January each year so you can use it to prepare your tax return and claim any education tax credits, like the American Opportunity Tax Credit or Lifetime Learning Credit.
