Which states have no income tax?

If you live in a state that does not have state income tax, you may not have to do a state tax return. Listed below are the states without any income tax. However, New Hampshire and Tennessee do tax certain interest and dividend income, as well as other activities.

How do I purchase state tax software?

Can I e-file my state tax return?

Yes. Use state tax software to e-file right from your home or office with the simple push of a button. An additional fee for e-filing applies and you cannot e-file in a state that does not have income tax. State e-file is not available in New Hampshire.

Can I file a non-resident or part-year resident state tax return using H&R Block State Edition filing software?

Most nonresident and part-year resident state tax returns can be filed using H&R Block State Edition software. We support e-filing part-year and / or nonresident returns for:
