Where’s my refund – Illinois?

 

To check the status of your Illinois state refund online, go to https://mytax.illinois.gov/?Link=IITRfnInq.

You will be prompted to enter:Illinois refund

  • ID type
  • Social Security Number or Individual Tax ID Number
  • Refund amount
  • Click “Search” to view your refund status

You may check your refund status by phone: 1-800-732-8866.

You may also choose to receive updates to your phone when your payment is on the way at https://myrefund.illinoiscomptroller.gov/

Once a return is received by IDOR, many different factors can affect the timing of a refund. You could receive your return sooner if you eFiled.

What can cause a delay in my Illinois state refund?
