Where’s my refund – Massachusetts?

 

To check the status of your Massachusetts state refund online, go to https://mtc.dor.state.ma.us/mtc/?Link=REFUND.

In order to view status information, you will be prompted to enter:

Massachusetts refund

  • Tax year
  • Social Security number / ITIN
  • Refund amount

Click “Search” to view refund status.

To check the status of your tax refund by phone, call 1-617-887-6367 or toll-free in Massachusetts 1-800-392-6089 and follow the automated prompts.

Generally, if your return has been completed correctly, electronically filed (e-filed) returns take up to six weeks to process. Paper returns take up to 10 weeks.

What can cause a delay in my Massachusetts refund?
