  2. You disagreed with the auditor’s findings and requested an appeals conference.
  3. The IRS sent Letter 1025 to inform you that additional information is needed before the case can be forwarded to appeals.

If you miss this deadline: The IRS will process the proposed changes to your tax return and send you a notice of deficiency which will give you 90 days to petition the U.S. Tax Court.
