H&R Block’s Kelli Ramey Named NextGen Leader
VP honored for industry leadership, philanthropic work
H&R Block (NYSE: HRB) the world’s largest consumer tax preparation company, proudly congratulates Kelli Ramey, vice president of advertising and brand promotion at H&R Block, on earning the Kansas City Business Journal’s prestigious NextGen Leader.
The NextGen honorees are determined by a panel of judges who select 25 of the most outstanding business leaders in the Kansas City area. Now in its third year, the program helps groom future leaders and connect them with one another. Ramey’s success in advertising and launching Block’s national cause marketing program are among the reasons she was selected for this honor. Ramey says she looks forward to getting to know the other NextGen honorees and is excited that more people will be introduced to the H&R Block Dollars & Sense program she leads as a result. Now in its sixth year, Dollars & Sense is committed to increasing teens’ financial literacy nationwide and awarded $3 million in scholarships and grants last academic year alone.
“It has been quite an exciting year for us creatively,” said Kathy Collins, H&R Block chief marketing officer. “I am very proud of Kelli. Her leadership and energy in creating programs and driving implementation is very impressive. I know this award is not the end for Kelli – it’s just the beginning.”
In 2015, Ramey was named to Advertising Age’s 40 Under 40 for her leadership in launching H&R Block’s “Get Your Billion Back America” campaign, one of the best performing campaigns in the company’s history.
