Can I Transfer H&R Block Software to a New Computer?

Unfortunately, you can’t transfer H&R Block to a new computer from an old one. While you can transfer your prior-year and current-year tax files, you can only install or uninstall H&R Block software, not transfer it.

H&R Block Install on a Different Computer

If you want to transfer H&R Block to a new computer, you must install the H&R Block Tax Software from the original installation media onto the new computer.

For example: If you originally installed H&R Block software using a CD, you’d need to use that CD to install the software again on a new computer. To do this, just find your original H&R Block Software installation CD. Then, you can install the software on the new computer.
