  2. You amended that tax return or filed Form 843, Claim for Refund and Request for Abatement.
  3. The IRS sent Letter 693 to notify you of the IRS’ response to your request. The notice will specify if taxes and/or penalties were abated in whole or in part, or if no changes were made.
