H&R Block To Give Away $1 Million a Day for 32 Days
1,000 people will win $1,000 each day in first month of the season
H&R Block (NYSE: HRB), the world’s largest consumer tax preparation company, is starting Refund Season 2016 in a big way. With its 10,000 offices in the U.S. and Puerto Rico now open, the company is kicking off an industry first – awarding $1 million a day for the first month of tax season during the 1000 Win $1000 Daily sweepstakes.
The first drawing will be Jan. 16 with 1,000 people each winning $1,000 a day through Feb. 15, plus a final drawing on Feb. 19. Winners will be announced within a few days of each drawing. A total of 32,000 people will win a combined $32 million.
“This is unprecedented in the industry,” said H&R Block Chief Marketing Officer Kathy Collins. “H&R Block puts the ‘fun’ in Refund Season. And as the nation’s leading tax preparation company, we get you the most money back at tax time, guaranteed. And now there’s even more reason to celebrate with the chance to win a grand in your hand.”
Anyone who files their taxes in a participating H&R Block office can be entered into the sweepstakes. For more information, including official rules and other ways to enter, taxpayers can visit www.hrblock.com/grand.
“The sooner people have their taxes done, beginning as early as today, the more chances they have to win,” Collins said. “That’s the opportunity to win a thousand dollars on top of whatever their refund might be.”
To get in on the fun, consumers can visit www.hrblock.com/grand or join the conversation on social media and share how they would use an extra $1,000. Just use the hashtag #MyGrandPlan.
