If you’ve used an H&R Block Online product to file an extension, you might also want to print a copy of your Form 4868:Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return for your own records.

Here’s how to print a copy of your extension from your H&R Block Online product:

  1. Under My Account on the left side of the screen, choose Print Extension.
  2. Adobe Reader will launch, and you can view your extension form.
  3. Choose Print. A print dialog box will appear.
  4. Choose OK to print.

Remember, an extension of time to file is not an extension of time to pay any taxes owed. To avoid paying penalties, you should postmark your IRS payment by the original tax deadline.
